Charis Bekker (born on 14 March 2004) is a promising Australian cricketer, known for her role as a right-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. She plays for Western Australia in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) and represents the Perth Scorchers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).
Domestic Career

Bekker is a member of the Subiaco-Floreat Cricket Club in grade cricket. She made her debut for Western Australia on 27 February 2022, against South Australia in the WNCL. Her debut season saw her play in five matches, where she notably scored 36* against South Australia and claimed 2/25 in 10 overs against Queensland.
In the 2022–23 WNCL season, Bekker participated in ten matches, amassing 83 runs and claiming two wickets. Although she was named in the Perth Scorchers squad for the 2022–23 WBBL season, she did not feature in any of the matches. Nonetheless, her all-round skills and ability to contribute in both batting and bowling are expected to make her a key player in the future.
International Career
In December 2022, Bekker was selected for the Australia Under-19 team for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. She played two matches during the tournament, taking one wicket and showcasing her potential on the international stage.
